The Guides

Hello, I'm from União da Vitória in Paraná, Brazil, and I also lived for years in Curitiba where I graduated in Sociology from UFPr in 1987.

Since 1990 in Amsterdam, I greatly enjoy my work here showcasing the beauties of this typical Northern European city. As a guide, I suggest tours, accompany, provide assistance with transfers, and shopping.

There are tourists who seek to know more about the Netherlands than the usual tourist attractions; they look for a different kind of tourism. These individuals greatly appreciate hiring a guide who offers a cheerful and relaxed visit right from the start.

As an event promoter, I organize and provide support for any type of event, trips, or congresses. As a receptionist, I arrange and accompany airport-hotel-airport transfers, assisting with check-ins and check-outs. We also cater to tour operators by organizing their excursions. If you fit any of these profiles, it will be a pleasure to assist you.

I hope to establish a working partnership in the near future.

Laurence Lamers began his career as a junior editor for several Dutch feature films and documentaries. After studying Theater and Film Sciences at the University of Amsterdam, he worked as a production manager for various corporate and commercial films, producing drama for television. In the mid-nineties, he started his career as a director-producer of television programs, infotainment, and talk shows.

His desire for intellectual fulfillment and mental exploration matched his wish to experience the real world and comprehend the various layers of society. Born and raised in Amsterdam, he is therefore knowledgeable about the reality and history of this beautiful city.

He is also part of the tour agency Guiamsterdam, working alongside Silvia to assist and guide Brazilian tourists, as well as visitors from other countries
